Kmerk, not ALL of hollywood are liberals. Get a life, the economy is bad, but we still like to see movies and watch the celebrities. And, yes I roll my eyes when a host or Oscar recipient makes a political statement (inappropriate venue in my opinion), and yes I like to have a contest to select the winners. Much more fun that sulking about unemployment.

You're right, kjerk. You should throw Republican scandal parties. That would certainly jumpstart the economy. Me? I'm sticking with my annual Oscar party. Harmless fun.

Report this I love Reader's Digest, but you must be kidding. An Oscar night party? In the first place, why celebrate the liberal junk coming out of Hollywood? In the second place, people are losing jobs, losing homes, etc. An Oscar night party is a joke. Give us recipes that are inexpensive but healthy - something to stretch our dollars, etc. I'm disappointed that you thought this was a story to even highlight.
