A Cape Cod Tour

By Patricia Waring
From Nantucket to Provincetown, experience the wonder of Cape Cod, Massachusetts through these breathtaking images from Jake Rajs' new book, Cape Cod and the Islands.
Chatham Fish Pier, Chatham
Harbor seals are frequently found sunbathing off the coasts of Chatham. There have also been sightings of Grey Seals, which are very rare in other parts of the country. Your chances of seeing a seal is best during low tide in June, on a sunny afternoon.

A Cape Cod TourBy Patricia Warin, thank you for the photos of Cape Cod. I am in Maine, but I am originally from Massachusetts. Do you live in Cape Cod or do you travel to other places in MA?

I was raised on Cape Cod and moved to california 25 years ago. I take my children to the cape every summer. However, due to the difficult times this summer we did not go. Our hearts were so sad because of not going thsi summer but your book made us all smile and remember the fantastic family memories. Thank you so much for the book.

I've spent most every summer of my 50 years in the Harwich area of the Cape. What wonderful memories! My parents are gone now and every picture I see of the Cape, brings back all those memories for me. What a great book!

Respond with your own comments here. Thanks for the beautiful pictures. I am so glad that we are headed back there at the beginning of July. Our family has been vacationing there since 1960 (yes, that makes me old, but that's OK). Can't wait to go to the Brewster General Store for the donuts, coffee and fudge.

I love Cape Cod! I spent every summer (64-80) at my grandparents cottage on Swan Pond River that you could see from Clancy's restaurant. I even got married right in the front yard the day after a Nor'Easter. The Cape has lost alot of its innocence to commercialization & they still come every summer by the loads. We sold our cottage in 2003 after our grandparents passed, but we'll always have the beautiful memories of old Cape Cod. This book has some great pictures showing her at her best!
