A festive meal is a great start to a memorable Christmas, says chef Eddy Chavey of MrBreakfast.com.
"I like to cook with eggnog (without alcohol) during the holidays. Add it in place of part or all of the milk in pancake or waffle mix." More ideas:

Add nutmeg, cinnamon or ginger to waffles or muffins.

Put a breakfast casserole in the Crock-Pot at midnight and have breakfast waiting when you wake.

Try international fare. In Finland, families hide an almond in a pot of rice porridge. Whoever gets the almond in his bowl will have good luck in the New Year.
