1. Unscrew the old nipple with a pipe wrench. If the nipple is too short to grab with a wrench, use an “internal” pipe wrench ($10).

I've put on two slide on spout and it still leaks around the back of the spout against the wall. I've tighten the srew also

I replaced a spout because it was not shutting off the water to the shower head when I pushed down on the diverter button, but the new one won't shut-off either. What would cause this?
