ELIGIBILITY: The Reader's Digest "Season of Giving" promotion is open to legal residents of, and living within, the 50 United States/District of Columbia, and are at least 18 years old at the time of entry. ("Sponsor"), sweepstakes administrators, independent judging agency, their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, advertising, promotion, web agencies, and all other individuals or entities involved in the creation, administration, and/or supply to this promotion and members of their household and/or immediate family (i.e., parent, child, sibling and spouse and individuals residing in each of their households), hereinafter sometimes referred to as "Sponsor & Others", are not eligible to participate or win. 2. BRIEF OVERVIEW OF PROMOTION: The Reader's Digest "Season of Giving Week 1" Promotion (hereinafter referred to as the "Promotion") starts on 11/25/09 at 12:00:01 A.M. Eastern Standard Time ("EST") and ends on 12/1/09 at 11:59:59 P.M. EST ("Promotion Period").. Each day that you sign in to the Website during the Promotion Period and follow the instructions, you will receive one (1) opportunity to play the Instant Win Game and one automatic (1) entry into our Grand Prize Sweepstakes. (To see official rules for the Grand Prize Sweepstakes click here. A separate drawing will be held for the grand Prize sweesptakes on or about January 2, 2010.) To be eligible for the Promotion an entry must be received during a day within the Promotion Period. A day will be deemed to start at 12:00:01 A.M., EST and end at 11:59:59 P.M., EST of a calendar day. The computer of the independent administrator of this Promotion, PrizeLogic LLC ("PrizeLogic"), shall be deemed to be the official Promotion clock.
3. THE INSTANT WIN GAME: HOW TO ENTER: Go to www.readersdigest.com/seasonofgiving, enter your name, valid mailing address (no PO Boxes accepted) and email address, and follow the instructions to play the game. After you have registered, if you are a potential Instant Game Prize Winner, you will receive a "Congratulations" message informing you of such. All potential winners receiving "Congratulations" messages are subject to verification before any prize will be awarded. If you do not receive a "Congratulations!" message, you are not an Instant Win Game Prize Winner. Each day an Instant Win Game participant plays the Instant Win Game, regardless of whether the participant has won an Instant Win Game Prize, the participant will receive an entry into the separate Grand Prize Sweepstakes.
4. LIMIT: One (1) Game play per day is permitted during the Promotion Period. If multiple entries are received, only the first entry will be included and later entries will be disqualified. Each entry has an equal chance to win. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an email address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Participants may be required to present proof of being the authorized account holder. All entries become property of Sponsor and will not be returned.
5. PRIZES: There will be fourteen (14) prizes awarded in this sweepstakes: One per day: Seven (7) Sony Ericsson C905a Camera Phones (ARV $329.99 each); Seven (7) Gevalia Kaffe gift baskets (ARV $51.95 each). The total ARV of all prizes in the Season of Giving 1 sweepstakes is: $2,673.58. Prizes are not redeemable for cash; nor are they transferable or substitutable, except by Sponsor with one of equal or greater value. All costs and expenses, including any taxes, associated with any Prize, if any, are solely the responsibility of the Winner.
6. INSTANT WIN GAME WINNER SELECTION: Winners will be randomly selected for each Entry Period from all eligible entries during the dates set forth in Section 2 above. Decisions of the administrator and independent judging organization as to the administration and operation of the Promotion and the selection of potential winners are final and binding in all matters related to the Promotion. Odds of winning a prize depend on the date and time of Game Play and number of Game Plays Approximate odds of winning are 1 in 2,000. NOTE: You are limited to receiving only one (1) Instant Win Game Prize during the Promotion Period. The Reader's Digest "Season of Giving" Grand Prize Sweepstakes is sponsored by The Reader's Digest Association, Inc. (Reader's Digest). The Reader's Digest "Season of Giving" Promotion (hereinafter referred to as the "Promotion") starts on 11/25/09 at 12:00:01 A.M. Eastern Standard Time ("EST") and ends on 12/25/09 at 11:59:59 P.M. EST ("Promotion Period"). Reader's Digest is the official timekeeper for this promotion.

ELIGIBILITY: The Reader's Digest "Season of Giving" promotion is open to legal residents of, and living within, the 50 United States/District of Columbia, who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry. Employees, officers and directors of Reader's Digest Association, Inc. ("Sponsor"), sweepstakes administrators, independent judging agency, their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, advertising, promotion, web agencies, and all other individuals or entities involved in the creation, administration, and/or supply to this promotion and members of their household and/or immediate family (i.e., parent, child, sibling and spouse and individuals residing in each of their households), hereinafter sometimes referred to as "Sponsor & Others", are not eligible to participate or win. HOW TO ENTER: Go to www.readersdigest.com/seasonofgiving, enter your name, valid mailing address (no PO Boxes accepted) and email address, and follow the instructions to play our Instant Win game. . (The Instant Win Game is a separate sweepstakes. Click here for Instant Win Game official rules.) Each day an Instant Win Game participant plays the Instant Win Game, regardless of whether the participant has won an Instant Win Game Prize, the participant will receive an entry into the Grand Prize and First Prize(s) Sweepstakes.
3.Limit: One (1) entry per day is permitted during the Promotion Period. If multiple entries are received, only the first entry will be included and later entries will be disqualified. Each entry has an equal chance to win. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an email address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. ADDITIONAL SWEEPSTAKES ENTRIES: A participant will receive additional entries into the Grand Prize Sweepstakes in the following ways: (1) READING THE SAMPLE READER’S DIGEST HOLIDAY EDITION: On the main game screen the participant will have the opportunity to view a Reader’s Digest Holiday Edition in digital format and inside this file is a page with instructions on how to receive an additional entry into the Grand Prize Sweepstakes. Limit: one additional entry into the Grand Prize Sweepstakes for the entire promotion period. (2) REFERRING FRIENDS VIA EMAIL AND SOCIAL NETWORKS: Participants will receive an additional entry into the Grand Prize Sweepstakes for each person they refer via the email form, Facebook or Twitter located only on the promotion web pages to the Season of Giving promotion who completes the registration process. Any other means of referral including through personal email, directly on to Facebook or directly on Twitter will not receive an additional entry per referred, registered participant. There are two ways that you can receive up to fifteen (15) additional entries into the Sweepstakes: (A) REFER-A-FRIEND: You may follow the instructions to refer up to fifteen (15) different friends during the Sweepstakes Period with whom you have an existing relationship and whom you think would be interested in receiving an email about participating in the Sweepstakes. For each friend you refer who registers/signs up or accepts a gift in the Sweepstakes, you will receive an additional entry into the Sweepstakes provided the friend you have referred has entered the Sweepstakes through the link provided in your email. PRIZES: One Grand Prize, will be awarded consisting of a four-night/five-day stay in a junior suite, including breakfast, for a family of four at The Homestead in Hot Springs, VA on their Unlimited Activity Package and a one thousand dollar Orbitz.com travel voucher. [Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of Homestead stay $3,900.00. Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of Orbitz voucher is $1,000.00. Total Approximate Retail Value of the Grand Prize (ARV) $4,900.00
The prizes are not transferable cannot be assigned, substituted or redeemed for cash. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value in the event that the stated prize cannot be awarded due to circumstances beyond the control of the Sponsor(s). All taxes, if any are the sole responsibility of the winner(s). Neither the sponsor(s) nor its affiliates or subsidiaries will be responsible for any loss, liability or damage arising out of the winner's acceptance or use of the prize. SELECTION OF WINNER: Winner(s) will be selected by a random drawing from all eligible entries on or about February 1, 2010 by an independent judging agency, whose decisions are final in all respects. Winner(s) will be notified by mail (and those with known email addresses may be notified by email as well) within 30 days of the drawing and may be required to execute a Statement of Eligibility and Release and Payment Authorization within 30 days of prize notification attempt or Winner will be disqualified and prize may be awarded to an alternate winner.
