Sparkling Fruit Bowl Punch

This fruity, nonalcoholic drink will be a hit with grown-ups and kids alike.

You Will Need
Two 10-ounce packages frozen raspberries or strawberries
6 cups water
1 1/2 cups sugar
10 whole cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
Six 3 x 1/2-inch strips of orange zest (orange part only)
1 vanilla bean, split
2 cups orange juice
2 cups club soda

What to Do
1. In a large nonreactive saucepan, bring berries, water, sugar, cloves, cardamom, zest, and vanilla bean to a boil. Reduce the heat to moderately low and simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, about 10 minutes.

2. Strain through a fine sieve (do not press solids), and cool to room temperature. Stir in orange juice. When ready to serve, stir in club soda. Serve over ice.
