Step Brush Technique
1.
Load the brush by dipping about 2 in. of the bristles into the paint. Slap the brush back and forth once against the sides of the can to remove excess paint.

i'm not sure why the lip is removed on the can. i put small nail holes in the trough of the lip and all excess paint drips back into the can. i can then reseal the can if necessary.
