Make your Christmas tree stand out.

While these methods are fast and easy, they won't give any hint of the three-dimensional qualities of your tree
The Christmas tree is the focal point of your holiday party. Make yours "glow" from the inside out with techniques from Rockefeller Center tree designer David Murbach in Samantha Ettus's The Experts' Guide to Life at Home:

Use the same style throughout. Murbach uses small multicolored lights, but any kind is fine.

Work from the top down. You want lights in the interior, middle and ends. Start on the highest branch, then zigzag from branch to branch, evenly spacing the lights throughout, working your way down and around. (You may need extras.)

What to avoid. Spiraling lights down the tree like a corkscrew, and running rows from top to bottom on the surface. "While these methods are fast and easy, they won't give any hint of the three-dimensional qualities of your tree," Murbach says.

“ Reduce your electric bill by consolidating your plugs. Between 5 percent and 15 percent of the power used by electronics is consumed when they're turned off. Plug your electronics into a power strip, then unplug it at night and when you're not home. ”

One day, a father was driving with his three daughters. The oldest piped up from the backseat and said, “Daddy, why is my name Rose?”

The father replied, “Because when you were born, a rose petal fell on your cheek.”

A few minutes later the middle daughter asked, “Daddy, why is my name Lily?”

The father responded, “Because when you were born, a lily petal fell on your cheek.” Then a few minutes later the third daughter said, “Ararrraaara!”

“Shut up, Cinderblock!”
