Words are slippery. Hampton Inn, for example, does serve hot eggs, bacon, pastries, waffles and fruit. However, that doesn’t mean much. The eggs come pre-cooked in a plastic bag and are not fresh; the bacon is microwaved; the pastries are of very low quality; and the mixed fruit is canned (although you can take an apple or an orange). The waffles are decent. There needs to be someone who does a decent rating on these places using clear language.

I have to agree , I travel quite a bit and I have never gotten a GOOD free breakfast with the exception of 2 places,, in the mid 70′s there was a hotel in Tampa called the Hawaiian village and in Wilkes Berre pa there was a holiday in on the weekend that offered a hot fresh cooked to order buffet ,, the village gave you coupons if you stayed and the holiday inn offered 5 coupons ,, but on average ,, most off the hotels unless your at a high end resort hotel,, the breakfasts are cold cereal, precooked eggs from some type off bird, yogurt, fruit , basic garbage ,,, what you need to consider is this ,, you need to subtract $10-$20 for ea person in your group from your bill if they offer a free breakfast.. if the price is to high then you choose a lower price hotel and pay for a breakfast at either a local truck stop like flying j or petro both used to have awsome breakfasts or you go to a place like shooneys …
