For more than 125 years, worshipers at the First Unitarian Church outside Boston were inspired and comforted by the melodious tones of the beautiful Stoneham Organ, built in 1868 by the E.&G.G. Hook company. After that congregation dwindled to a few souls, in 1995 the organ was donated to the Follen Community Church of nearby Lexington, where it was restored and unveiled in 1996. “This was a match made in heaven,” says Follen music director Thomas Stumpf.
