A museum pays homage to the great hot-air balloon.

Gas and hot air are actually prized commodities at the Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum in Albuquerque, New Mexico, which celebrates the fine art of balloon travel through interactive exhibits, a ride simulator and a life-size balloon model. The $20 million museum, designed by architect Marc Schiff, borders Balloon Fiesta Park, which every October hosts a festival that draws tens of thousands of people who don’t mind looking up.
