Here's the Deal Janice Lieberman Janice Lieberman is a journalist, author and contributor, with vast experience reporting for CNBC, NBC, and ABC. In 1999, Janice joined the NBC News team, and has since acted as Consumer Reporter for The Today Show and Later Today. She is a Contributing Editor for Reader’s Digest and readersdigest.com, where she authors “Here’s the Deal,” a column and blog. As an expert contributor to the Fine Living Network, Janice offers consumer tips to its viewers. She hosted two of their shows, Stop You’re Paying Too Much! and Money Magazine’s Tips For Couples .” Prior to her work on The Today Show , Janice was the consumer reporter on Good Morning America and host of CNBC’s Steals and Deals . Having been on the CNBC show since its start in 1989, Janice received ACE Award nominations in 1991 and 1993. She is the author of the book Tricks of the Trade: A Consumer Survival Guide. Her second book, How to Shop for a Husband , will be released in spring of 2009. She is a graduate of Rutgers University, and lives in New Jersey with her husband, Steve Gerber, and her two boys.
