Die-hard Chicago Cubs fans have suffered with a team that hasn't won the World Series since 1908. Fans blame the drought on a curse put on the team by an upset ticket holder whose goat was barred from the '45 Series. The Cubs lost, and haven't been back since. Last year, they fell apart in Game 6 of the National League Championship, blowing a three-run lead after a fan interfered with an outfielder's attempt to snag a foul. The ball fetched more than $100,000 at auction and was destroyed by the winning bidder in an attempt to end the curse. We'll see ...
