Buckle up!
We are in for an unpredictable year. But I believe that if we can keep our wits about us, and not allow worry and fear to dull our spirit, we can survive and thrive in the New Year.
If you are an entrepreneur, or have an entrepreneurial spirit, then you are first and foremost a problem solver. You have seen a niche of customers, clients or contractors and created a product, service or innovation that meets their needs. In some way, your business offers something that is more efficient, more economical, more successful, more environmentally friendly, and/or more sustainable for you, your family, and your employees than what existed before. You are also creating a solution for yourself, by creating your own opportunity to be as creative, ambitious, and successful as you decide to be.
Entrepreneurs worked hard in 2008 to achieve our goals, and we can keep going. This year, I had the privilege of speaking live to 6,000 inspirational people, I traveled over 68,000 miles, stayed in almost 20 different hotels, I've been more than 20 different cities, some for just a few hours, and been interviewed over 60 times- from my desk, from my kitchen table at 6am, in freezing cold TV studios, and from the backs of racing New York City cabs. Like every women entrepreneur I met along the way, I've committed a tremendous amount of energy and passion to meeting my goals for my business this year - and in doing so, Count Me In has inspired thousands of women to grow their own businesses, and they have created thousands more jobs. Since Count Me In introduced the Make Mine a Million $ Business RACE, I know that many more women will be with me in 2009 build more for ourselves and our community.
My 2009 resolutions are to be CONFIDENT in the face of historic economic challenges and business opportunities, to build a strong COMMUNITY of women and men committed to unprecidented business success and secure the CASH to grow my business and thrive.
I am committed to growing my business and growing myself in 2009.
Committed to deeping bonds with my husband, family and friends.
Committed to remaining confident in the face of great opportunities and historic challenges.
Committed to being in the best of health.
Writing this all down reminds me I can't do this alone - none of us can so - to reach my goals I am joining the M3 Race (Make Mine a Million $ Business Race) to keep me accountable, to keep me focused and to keep me positive along with the of thousands of women who will be in this first-ever year long business growth marathon. I decided that after thinking up the M3Race it would be a blast to be a runner myself, because together in the race we can cut through the worry, frustration and doubt with confidence to grow our businesses and ourselves. Register for the RACE right now at http://www.makemineamillion.org/ and join me for the ride of your life.
Believe in you.
Happy New Year,
Nell
