I just read the Ask Laskas article from September 2008 about the person who had to put down their dog after 14 years. The grievig process is different for everyone some people are done grieving after a few weeks others take months. You just lost a good friend of course you should grieve, your grief will end in it's own good time. Just don't let run your life, if you are stll grieveing after a year you may need to seek grief couseling.
