Speedy Homemade Salsa

There's no need to buy salsa when you can easily make your own!

"I love Mexican food and this refreshing salsa is easy to prepare," notes Sarah Berger from Minneapolis, Minnesota. "I think it tastes even better than the store-bought variety."

Preparation time: 20 minutes

You Will Need
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) whole tomatoes, drained
1/4 cup chopped red onion
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 jalapeño pepper, seeded*
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 tablespoon minced fresh cilantro
1 garlic clove, peeled
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon salt


What to Do
1. In a food processor, combine all ingredients; cover and process until chunky. Transfer to a small bowl.

Yield: 1-1/3 cups


*Editor's note: When cutting or seeding hot peppers, use rubber or plastic gloves to protect your hands. Avoid touching your face.
