Best Library Link

Internet access for all!

from Reader's Digest Magazine | May 2006

More than 100 people a day enjoy free computer access at The Bridge in Oberlin, Ohio, launched in July 2000 as a division of the local public library. The center was named for its attempt to bridge the digital divide in a city where one-fifth of the population lives at or below the poverty line. Its innovative programs, including tech camps for kids, were cited when The Bridge was named the 2005 American Library Association’s “Library of the Future.”
