Star Wars fans, you might need to sit down for this one.
Disney just revealed its largest single-theme expansion EVER, and it’s essentially 14 miles filled with our greatest Star Wars fantasies come true. (Disney just opened this breathtaking new park, too!) And you won’t have to go to a galaxy far, far away to visit this amazing theme park; there will be one built at both Disneyland in California and Disney World in Orlando.
Attendees of Disney’s three-day fan convention in California got a sneak peek at the physical 3D model of the upcoming Star Wars Land. Now, thanks to the video below, we can take a look inside, too. The 50-foot-wide model promises incredible attractions like piloting the Millennium Falcon and a battle between Stormtroopers and Resistance fighters. (Don’t miss these mind-blowing facts about Star Wars.)
And that’s not all you have to look forward to. On an average visit, you might stumble into one of the various droids and alien characters inhabiting Star Wars Land. And if you get hungry, you can stop into a restaurant based off of the film’s Mos Eisley Cantina.
Star Wars Land will transport its guests “to a never-before-seen planet, a remote trading port and one of the last stops before Wild Space, where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life,” the DisneyParks blog writes.
Sadly, fans can’t experience the magic (or rather, the Force) in person until the parks open in 2019. Until then, get your Star Wars fix by brushing up on the Star Wars quotes that every fan should know.
