SCREW the two workbench pieces together and onto the supports using 3-in. screws. Spread glue between the two plywood pieces, especially along the front edge. Drive several 1-1/4 in. screws along the front edge, up from the bottom into the top layer. | |

CUT shelves to length for above and below the workbench, and notch them for the studs. Mount them on plywood brackets the same as the other shelves. Plastic bins, like the one shown at the bottom of the photo, cost a few bucks each at discount stores. They make great storage containers, fitting nicely between studs on 16-in. wide shelves. Or use sturdy cardboard boxes that you can get for nothing at your friendly local supermarket. | |
