Appliance Touch-Up

Clean off the surface in and around a scratch with a mild detergent. Once it’s dry, apply a thin coat of appliance paint directly to the scratch.

Somehow, a scratch has appeared on the side of your new refrigerator (see photo ). It can be easily repaired. Simply find the manufacturer’s model information on the factory label inside or behind your appliance. The name of the color may also be stamped on the label. With this information, order the correct appliance paint at a local appliance parts store (see the Yellow Pages under “Appliance, Major, Parts”). You can also order it on-line from partsdirect@ sears.com for about $5.
