My clothes dryer makes a lot of noise. Not long ago, I decided to do a little laundry room soundproofing to quiet things down a bit. I drilled several holes in the side edges of the hollow-core door to the laundry room. I then got some spray foam insulation from the hardware store and sprayed it into the holes to fill the inner door cavity. A half hour later, the door self-destructed and oozed foam from every corner. Needless to say, I’ve installed a new solid-core door.
