I’m pretty handy and capable, but not this time. I had to replace my garbage disposer, so I bought this “bigger and better” disposer, which was 3/4 hp and kind of heavy. To lift it up to the sink drain and secure it, I had to rest it on my knee. To support the weight, I had to press my foot against the wall, working it around the drainpipes to get firm purchase. I succeeded in securing the disposer, but to my dismay, found that I had trapped my foot between the garbage disposer and the drainpipes and couldn’t get it out! I had to undo everything and start over, a little wiser this time.
