At the end of a long day painting the family room, my wife
and I decided to paint the blades of the old ceiling fan to match. After
we’d finished the blades, we turned the fan on, thinking it would dry
faster. Not so. Paint flew off all over. It was easy enough to fix the globs on
the walls; cleaning our blue-speckled faces wasn’t.
