While installing a three-piece shower surround unit in the bathroom, I cleverly used a rolling pin to press the fiberglass panels into the adhesive. I noticed that some of the fast-drying glue had gotten on both the rolling pin handles and my hands, but decided to keep going.

By the time I finished installing the shower surround, my hands were firmly glued to the rolling pin! Knowing that mineral spirits would dissolve the glue, I went to the garage (opening three doors with great difficulty). But then I couldn’t free my hands to get the screw top off the mineral spirits can. Frantically, I bashed a hole in the can with the end of the rolling pin handle, sloshed the mineral spirits on my hands and set myself free.
