Our family likes to work on projects together, so when our bathroom needed remodeling, I thought it would be great to have our boys (ages 2, 4, 5, 7 and 9) help out with the demolition. I was a bit worried that the boys might damage something, but my husband reassured me that there was nothing they could ruin. We armed them with safety glasses, hammers and pry bars, and with a little instruction, set them to work. They were having a blast. I checked on them every five minutes to make sure everything was going well and to tell them what a great job they were doing. After an hour, I went into the laundry room adjacent to the remodeling project. I couldn’t believe my eyes. There were several huge holes in the laundry room wall. We now have an even bigger remodeling project on our hands. Seems the boys could swing those hammers harder than we thought.
