Our old two-story house has a porch off the upstairs bedroom. When it rains, the water comes off the roof right onto the porch. I decided to install a gutter over the porch door. I got the materials and tools and set up the ladder and got right to work. I was surprised at how quickly the job went. After admiring my work for a few minutes, I picked up the tools and was going to enter the bedroom from the porch. I pulled on the door, but it would only open about 6 in. The gutter I had just so adroitly installed was hanging in the path of the door. I had to completely dismantle the gutter and adjust the height. Next time I’ll think the job through before I start!
