Nothing beats vinyl edging for keeping weeds out of your flowerbed. It’s inexpensive, flexible, durable and available everywhere. But it’s not very pretty. For a more appealing border, go ahead and install the vinyl edging, then place landscape stones or bricks along its inside edge. The vinyl keeps the grass from migrating into the gaps between the stones, and the casual observer will notice the stones, not the black strip in front.
