Items that have mounting holes on the back can be tricky to hang level. To ease the layout process, make a template. Set a piece of paper over the backside of the item and rub over the outline and mounting holes with a pencil. Level and tape the template into position on the wall, then drill pilot holes and secure the fasteners. P.S. If the mounting holes are oddly spaced, make sure you don’t reverse the template when you tape it to the wall.
