- Basic Sugar Cookie Dough
- Basic Frosting
- Candy cane cookie cutter, any preferred size
- White food coloring
- 1 disposable frosting bag
- 1 coupler
- 1 size “4” decorating tip
- Rubber band
- Scissors
- Red licorice lace (“Twizzlers” Pull-N-Peel work well)
- Light corn syrup
How to make it
Follow the Basic Decorating Instructions to tint frosting with white coloring and prepare a frosting bag with size “4” decorating tip. Outline candy canes with white frosting and let set about 15 minutes.
Flood the candy canes with thinned, white frosting and let set well, at least an hour. For the stripes, snip pieces of red licorice and adhere to cookie with light corn syrup. Let dry overnight before packaging cookies.
