The combination of spices on these nuts seems to warm everyone on cold winter days.
Ingredients
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

Heat oven to 325°F. Line a large cookie sheet with foil; set aside.

Melt butter in a large skillet over low heat. Add pecans and toast 15 minutes, until lightly browned, stirring often. Transfer with a slotted spoon to a plate lined with paper towels to drain.

Combine sugar and spices in a large bowl. Add pecans and toss to coat. Spread on prepared cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes. Cool completely on wire rack. Store in an airtight container. Makes 2 cups.
