When you have a blemish that needs to disappear—stat—try this nifty trick, which Ordon picked up in the green room at The Doctors from beauty expert Kym Douglas. The yeast fights bacteria, the lemon helps dry the blemish. Ingredients: Brewer’s Yeast A squeeze of lemon juice Water Directions: Make a paste using a little bit of brewer’s yeast, a squeeze of lemon juice, and a bit of water. This recipe is great for those prone to acne. The basil acts as an antiseptic, helps clear acne-causing bacteria, and improves circulation to the skin. Ingredients: 3 tablespoons dried basil leaves 1 cup boiling water Directions: Crush up the dried basil leaves and mix them into a cup of boiling water. Once the mixture cools, strain out the leaves, put it in a spray bottle and spritz your skin. Use a cotton ball or pad to spread the toner gently around your face. Do this daily before cleansing.

Your hands are a dead giveaway of your age, but this scrub can help. Exfoliating your hands lifts off the top layer of dead skin cells, which contains some of the pigment leaving age spots behind.  The rice exfoliates, the agave hydrates, and the lemon helps lighten skin and lift off dead cells. Ingredients: 1/2 cup cooked rice 1 tablespoon agave nectar 1 tablespoon lemon juice Directions: Mix together the above ingredients and blend well. Apply the mixture to dry hands, move the scrub around your hands in circular motions on the backs of your hands with firm but gentle pressure for one to two minutes. You can also rub this rice on the palms of the hands to soften calluses.

  1. Well DermalMD Anti Aging Serum cools my skin around the my eyes, and leaves
it feeling super smooth. Working over 14+ hour shifts, I have gained
dark circles under my eyes which the DermalMD serum has been fixing
little by little and day by day. I think its one of the best and maybe
the only best serum I have ever used to work this good. It doesnt smell
bad and it refreshes my skin. :) I love it.

  2. My mother for as long as I live has done the same beauty regimen every single morning. It insists of egg on her face, neck, and Vitamin E on her arms and legs, you wouldnt believe what her legs look like, Im only 30, shes almost 60 and has prettier shinier smoother legs than I do, and she has no one wrinkle on her face, Her pores in a few spots look a little large and I dont know if its the egg regimen or just the way her skin is, but I wish I was that responsible and kept up with my body like she did!

  3. I’m all in with natural ingredients for our skin. Just one question please: Would these skin care, specifically moisturizer, toner, facial scrub, and conditioner still work for 50+ year old women or should there be more amount in ingredients, amount of time applied, etc? Thank you.

  4. She is a pretty old woman who has never worked a day in her life. All she does is sit around and talk all day.

  5. fresh cream? like in the dairy case? what “fresh cream” is this talking about?

  6. the basil toner …. they said BEFORE cleansing…. is that an error?? shouldn’t a toner be used AFTER cleansing? i am new to the skin care regimen so… i jus want to make sure

  7. For anyone who’s interested in making their own recipes or need a reliable oil that’s not thick/clogs pores, try using almond oil. Almond oil is a non-clogging, light oil that is quickly absorbed by the skin. Since it’s so light, it penetrates deep into the skin and doesn’t leave a greasy or oily feeling. As the author of many DIY natural skin care books, I use it a lot in my own recipes.

  8. Nice of you to share, as the author of Natural Homemade Skin Care Recipes, I know how wonderful natural home made diy skin care recipes can be for repairing, rehydrating and protecting skin. They can even stimulate collagen and cell production just as the most expensive top of the line skin care ranges claim. Beauty is indeed not just an exterior thing, but it’s a nice feeling to look after yourself , pamper yourself at home and not have to spend a fortune to do it!

  9. Isn’t it odd how women are not judged by their brains and achievements but by their looks? As though their physical appearance and not their mind or soul are all-important? Frankly, I think, the roles ought to be reversed for one day every year (entitled: Walk a Mile in My Shoes) where men are obliged to go to work wearing dresses, high-heels and make-up, while women wear business-suits, collars and ties, and no make-up, etc., and judge the men according (purely) to their physical appearance and attractiveness!

  13. i’ve used many expensive medicated and cosmetic creams but nothing works like natural kitchen ingredients. Home-made Mint face pack has been especially effective in clearing my acne.

  14. right and being a monarch of a major country is a walk in the park.  I’m sure shes worked just as hard or harder then most of us.

    1. She’s never worked a day in her life either.  What’s your point?

    2. She like all beautiful women are blessed with good genetics, it doesn’t matter how hard you work or dont work its all in the DNA.

      1. It’s not ALL in the DNA. There are factors that contribute to certain skin conditions and such. Certainly bone structure and facial features can be marked up to genetics, but if you tan consistantly, smoke cigarettes, have terrible nutritional habits, don’t sleep and drink excessive amounts of alcohol……well you are setting yourself up for a bunch of potential unattractive and unwanted skin conditions not to mention these are some of the worst crimes against your skin.  Your body is a weel oiled machine, treat it well and it will show, mistreat it and unfortunately that will show too!
