Wrong Message

A teller at the bank where I work noticed that a drive-in customer was writing something on one of the documents he was going to place in the transaction basket. As she looked at the contents of the basket, she saw "This is robbery!" printed on one of his bills to be paid.

She panicked, looked up at the man in the car and asked in a shaky voice, "What do you want?" The customer, realizing the teller’s apprehension, began apologizing. "I’m so sorry! That wasn’t for you—it’s a message for the electric company."
