Photo and Video Upload FAQ
How do I upload a photo? To upload your photo, go to our Photo Upload Form.
Step 1 Enter your name and e-mail address in the required fields. Click “Submit.”
Step 2 Select the check box to agree to the Terms and Conditions. Then click on the "Browse" button to select the photo on your computer that you’d like to upload on RD.com.
Step 3 Enter a title for your picture in the required field. Next, enter tags for your photo. Tags are keywords or one-word descriptors that you can assign to your photo to help make it easier to search for. You can also write a short description for your photo. (Tagging and description fields are optional.) Hit “Submit” and you’re done!
How do I upload a video? To upload your video, go to our Video Upload Form.
Step 1 Enter your name and e-mail address in the required fields. Select the check box to agree to the Terms and Conditions. Click “Continue.”
Step 2 Click on the "Browse" button to select the video on your computer that you’d like to upload. Enter a title and description for your video in the required fields. Assign tags (optional.) Tags are keywords or one-word descriptors that you can assign to your video to help make it easier to search for. Click on the “Upload Video” button, and you’re done!
Which file formats do we accept? Images We recommend that you upload high resolution photos. Accepted photo file formats are: .jpg Gif
Video You can upload video files from digital cameras, cell phones, and camcorders. Accepted video file formats are: 3GP .AVI .DV h.264 .MPEG2 .MPEG4 Quicktime .WMV
What file sizes can I upload? The maximum file size for photo uploads is 4MB per file. Video uploads are limited to 100 meg per file.
I posted a photo/video but I don’t see it in the gallery yet. Photos and videos are posted immediately to RD.com. But sometimes you might experience a slight delay. Editors reserve the right to delete any inappropriate submissions.
Is there a limit on how many photos or videos I can upload? No, there’s no limit. But you can upload pictures in batches of five, and go back and upload more if you like. We love looking at your funny pictures and videos so keep ‘em coming!
Will you display my email address? No. Your email address is kept private.
Can I delete my photo or video after I’ve submitted them to RD.com? No. All submissions are final.
Can others rate my photos and videos? Yes. Other users can rate your photos on a five-star scale, from Not Funny to Funniest. Plus, you can rate photos and videos submitted by other RD.com readers by clicking on the “Rate This” link below individual photos and videos.
