Science says: Not quite. Chocolate bars might trigger an acne flare-up, but if so, the culprit is probably the sugar, milk, and gooey fillings, not the cocoa.

What about the fiber one gets from eating the apple with its peel. I always thought that was a help to regularity, thereby keeping the doctor away.

The apples we get in Thailand are all imported with thick coating of a waxy chemical that prevents them from drying up too soon and I read sometime ago that eating the apple with its waxy peel can cause a build up of this chemical in the person's body. I love apples but I peel them before eating.

I' have been eating 2 tablespoons of honey for breakfast for many years now and I never get sick. e.g. the whole family has flu but I never get it.

As a matter of fact, Studies have also shown that the addage also goes along with the fact that if you are eating an apple, or any other fruit, a day, that your dietary habits are leading to a much better health regimen, than if not. Good luck with the fruit!!!!!

Absolutely, never put butter on a burn, as it's oils will seal the burn, and actually make it worse. A burn needs to be a ble to breath, even somewhat after surgery! As I can attest!!!!

Certain Manuka Honey from New Zealand has very good healing powers on open wounds and Thyme honey is good for the skin. These studies are continuing at Waikato University in Hamilton New Zealand.
