The New Sleep Meds

The following sleep aids reduce the time it takes for someone to fall asleep. The table shows how much faster you're able to get to sleep after taking these aids, as well as the number of minutes on average your "waking period" is reduced by in the middle of the night. It's interesting to compare the effects of these medications with cognitive behavioral therapy. Studies show that those who use cognitive behavioral therapy get to sleep about 35 minutes faster. And it reduces the time you spend awake in the middle of the night by about 38 minutes.
