Hearty Turkey Chili


You Will Need
1/2 pound lean ground turkey
1 medium onion, chopped
1 small green bell pepper, chopped
1 tablespoon chili powder, or to taste
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 can (14 1/2 ounces) tomatoes
1 can (4 ounces) tomato sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can (4 ounces) sliced mushrooms or 2/3 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
2 cans (15 ounces each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed.


What to Do
1. Spray a large skillet with cooking spray. Add the turkey and cook until browned. Drain off any fat.

2. Add the onion, pepper, chili powder, and mustard and cook for 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic, mushrooms, and beans.

3. Simmer for 30 to 45 minutes.

Serves 8
