This glass shelf system from Bluegate was one of my favorite products at this year’s International Builders’ Show. The shelves are super easy to install—no brackets or hardware required. Instead, the shelves use a tongue-and-groove system. The tongues are metal tangs attached to the glass, and you cut the grooves carefully into the drywall. The shelves come with a template to let you know exactly where to cut. Then you run a bead of adhesive caulk onto the wall and insert the shelf. That’s it!
The company says each 3/8-in. tempered glass shelf will hold 75 lbs. The shelves are available in a variety of lengths and shapes. Prices start at $37.50 for a 12 x 12-in. triangle—not a bad price, considering the uniqueness factor. These shelves are available from the website below.
