Missing from Crowley's articles is Barney Frank (D) MA., The Community Reinvestment Act ( tweaked by Frank and Dodd) making banks and lending istitutions give everyone with a pulse a mortgage. If they didn't Janet Reno (at. gen.) will hunt them down. Both had their hands dirty with the Fannie and Freddie institutions that bought the bad mortgages and put them back into the market as good paper. Bush and his team warned of this mess over 17 times in 2008 and many more during his 8 yrs. oh well...
I can not believe that professional economical people didn't learn from the past mistakes...I still consider it as a good show which is still in "normal controlled limits".

I have read your articles about today's youth not wanting to contribute to social security as they see it not giving them any benefits. I can understand how the young workers must feel I am going to be one of the baby boomers wanting to collect as I have paid into it for the last 37 years. My problem with the system is the social security disability benefits that are paid out to just about everyone these days that do not want to go to work for a living. I know of people who claim to be insane, bi-polar, have an infant born prematurely and now that child is going on 5 and is still being paid benefits. A man says his back is so bad he cannot work and seeks disability but goes golfing and bowling. The young women who do not graduate from school, get pregnant and have no means of support are spreading the word that all you have to do is get a doctor to say you are bi-polar and then seek benefits. It is just another way to disburse welfare but this is a long term welfare for adults. I do not begrudge anyone who truly needs help but I have seen the system abused from many angles. Our goverment officials should be looking into this waste of our taxes and utimately the young will be paying out these benefits to people who are too lazy or on drugs and do not want to make a living and they let the goverment support them...which is actually the working taxpayers. This infuriates me knowing these people and seeing them get medical, money and help while I go to work everyday and have to pay for my medical along with prescriptions and any residual that my insurance will not pay. There should be a watchdog on this payout of goverment money.
Outrageous: Worst of America
