The campus crime stats are published and available to students and parents, but also check out neighborhood crime stats. My university was not in the best area of town. Also, even if it looks bad, trust your kid. Just off campus limits, at least a dozen students were robbed at a branch bank in 4 years, and the sub shop off the other end held-up 4 times in 1 year. I never had one problem, and on campus was actually more scared of certain shady-looking campus security guys than drunk co-eds.
I agree. At the college I went to the marching band was the group known for drinking and drug use, not the greeks. And I was at one of the biggest party schools in NC.
How do you justify #13 . The number of students in Greek letter orgs. automatically means there is a direct correlation to campus alcohol abuse,ok,where's your statistical data. Printing an aritcle with ("tend to drink more") sounds more like an opinion than anything. Am I saying all Greeks are angels,absoutely NOT. But if you're going down that road go ahead and include the athletes, rugby club etc. You only need 1 for this list ask for the annual campus crime report stats.(required by law)
