I've done the grading away from the house & added downspouts--but I still have moisture coming through the walls and floor. This is an old house that when built no footings were used The wall was poured right on top the clay soil. The plan 1. trench is currently below bottom of wall 2. line outside wall &1/2 the trench with felt paper. 3 line the other 1/2 of the trench & wall with weedblocker paper 4 add the rock and plastic corrigated perferated drain tile and fill do you see a problem
the problem I have is a high water table, only in a certain part of the basement. Water is not coming in, however the floor appears to be damp in that area. Can I repair it myself. And how?
