@Carli - Joe's comment is entirely appropriate and did not attack anyone else, unlike your comment, which seems to be entirely out of character for someone supposedly worshiping an all powerful megalomaniac who tortures people not following his rules. Maybe you should stop wishing for people to get attacked by a shark and start researching your own religious doctrine. While you're at it, try working on your reading comprehension skills. Oh, and your god is a solar deity. Study that, too.

Great story! The comments, on the other hand... Charles, statistically the man took a greater risk driving to the beach than he did getting in the water. Living entails some risk, and surfing in Monterrey is pretty low on the list of risky activities, but the unlikely does occasionally happen (but that doesn't stop you from driving or flying, does it?). There's no need to call the man an idiot for it.

FOR JOE, you are ignorant. Maybe being attacked by a shark would do you some good in your life. God doesn't work in the way you are suggesting. Do your research before you comment on someones life experience.

Incredible story, it opens your eyes to what you are missing in your own life and sometimes you need a big wake up call to see what is important to you. Endris is a hero in his own right not by just surviving the attack but by overcoming it and moving on with his life and getting back into the water. Your story is amazing and a miracle and you are an amazing person for what you've turned your story into.

For the people suggesting it was some sort of 'divine intervention' that saved him... that's just nonsense. Why did the 'divine' power allow him to get injured so badly to begin with? How many other humans *do not* escape such experiences with their lives? Did the 'divine power' disapprove of those people? Is this young man some how better then all of the countless sincere God fearing men and women who have died miserable deaths over man’s history?

Loveychudder, peter1589 asks a good question that takes into account the invisible battle of reality. This man's physical life was saved in a remarkable way that shouts out divine intervention...a veil has been lifted for him... Will he look and see who truly wants his welfare & thru the love of those around him (mother, friends & doctors) and the obedience of the dolphin creatures answered his prayer on the beach? or will he let this veil of opportunity slip back and cloud this new freedom?

Never underestimate the intelligence of dolphins or what they could have done to that shark. They use a powerful sonar-like burst to liquify the innards of an opponent. They could have destroyed that shark.
