It's good to see an article like this in RD. Making music as entertainment is not a lost art, but it certainly is far less popular than it once was. It's a great way to meet people and is really satisfying. If you want to find people to jam with, try www.folkjam.org (http://www.folkjam.org). It's a national listing of jam sessions.

howdy, i liked the article but have a bone to pick with david. i was the banjo player??? in his group and im not deaf in both ears, just one and extremeley hard of hearing in the other, not completely deaf. that is why it sounds so good to me. have fun jjc, laramie, wy
