Radishes, it sounds like you're one of the "little guys" who, along with the big guys who had the "intelligence" but either not the intelligence to use it or too much political slyness to want to avoid a national disaster they could crassly benefit from, dropped the ball on 9/11 and are now putting on a big show to make it look like you've seen the light and are actually doing something constructive.
So enlighten us, o plural vegetable tool of the Republican propaganda machine to convince us that their partisan efforts to make us feel artificially safe on the one hand while employing their scare tactics about our artificial lack of safety to take sanity out of our elections are working.
What ticks me off is how Mr. Smith characterizes safety precautions. I suppose he would change his mind if he ever found a "pointy-object" at the neck of an airline attendant, or noticed C-4 sticking out of a bottle labeled shampoo. And what does he mean when he talks about a liqiuds ban? I've never heard of such a thing, as we always let properly packaged liquids go through carry on bags, and larger conainers in checked baggage.
But it makes an impact to demean these safety measures as being worthless. While I do agree that there is some stupidity involved in the rules. the traveling public would be better served by an article explaining how these rules evolved. Unfortunately, I suspect Mr. Smith would be incapable of rendering such a service.
