Basically, my annual airflight to visit out-of-state family goes pretty smoothly, but I think that the Web site of every airline should contain a conspicuous link to an FAA Web site which anyone could visit to see what ALL of the current airflight rules are; this would be a useful way of learning whether there are any new changes in regulations that you may not be aware of yet.

The airlines and airports share culpability with the administration for dropping the ball on 9/11, and now they're "making up" for it with idiotic regulations in place of common sense and placing the burden on those who had the least to do with bungling it. The more we are forced to put into checked baggage, the more it's going to weigh, but regardless of that, the weight limit is just as stingy as it's always been, because the airlines intend to profit from their irresponsibility. That's capitalism for you!

On a flight from Paris to Chicago we got rerouted because a passenger did not have the correct type of oxygen. We had to land in Newfoundland and they deplaned us, sent us to a Pizza Hut and I spent 12 hrs sleeping on a booth trying to figure out why Newfies (as they are called) dip their french fries in gravy! We *finally* made it home to Chicago--tired, worn-out; but, with a new stamp in our passports.
