THE $100,000 Windfall Winnings Prize (#993)
NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT OR ON-LINE SERVICE SUBSCRIPTION NECESSARY TO ENTER.
PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE AN ENTRY'S CHANCE OF WINNING.
To enter, follow instructions published in your mailing and respond by the deadline date stated or, if no deadline date is stated, by the final closing date. Closing date of this Sweepstakes is 8/8/03. Each entry has an equal chance to win. Postmark determines date of mail entry. This Sweepstakes may be presented in different creative presentations and may also be presented via the Internet. To enter via the Internet, follow the directions displayed on-line. On-line entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST on 8/8/03. Only one entry per person per day, per entry opportunity, is permitted. In lieu of submitting an entry on-line, you may enter by mail, by hand-printing your full name, address (including city, state and zip code) e-mail address (if you have one) on a 3x5 card and mail in to, The $100,000 Windfall Winnings Prize (#993), P.O. Box 1166, Newburgh, NY 12551. Limit one 3x5 card entry per person, and e-mail address per day. Entry must be postmarked by 8/8/03. On-line and/or 3x5 mailed entries received from persons residing in geographic areas in which entry is not permissible will be disqualified. Not responsible for lost, late, non-delivered or misdirected mail, or misdirected e-mail, for any technical hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connection or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission or any human error which may occur in the receipt or processing of entries. Not responsible for any damage to computer systems from downloading any information necessary to participate in the Sweepstakes. One (1) prize of $100,000 will be awarded. Entrants may be offered the opportunity to receive bonus amounts in addition to stated prize amounts, if winner meets qualifying conditions set forth in the offering. You are eligible only for the Sweepstakes, and bonuses, if any, presented in your offering. Winner is selected in a series of random drawings with the final drawing on 8/18/03 from all eligible mail and on-line entries received by Donnelley Marketing, an independent judging agency whose decisions are final on all matters relating to the sweepstakes. Approximate numerical odds of winning are 1 in 95,000,000. Sweepstakes open to legal residents of the United States, its territories and possessions. Employees of The Reader's Digest Association, Inc., Donnelley Marketing, or their affiliated or subsidiary companies, or members of their immediate families are not eligible. Any dispute regarding submission of on-line entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. Reader's Digest reserves the right to terminate or modify the sweepstakes or the on-line portion of this sweepstakes at any time if the Reader's Digest on-line service is no longer available or is compromised by any virus, bugs, or other intervention beyond Reader's Digest's control. In either of these events, prizes may be awarded based on electronic entries received prior to date of termination and mail-in entries received as of the closing date. Winner will have the choice of the cash or any merchandise offered in any creative presentation of this Sweepstakes. All taxes are the responsibility of the winners. Reader's Digest, the sponsor, reserves the right to substitute similar merchandise of equal or greater value in the event a particular merchandise prize is no longer available to Reader's Digest. Prize won by a person under the age of 18 will be awarded to the winner's parent or legal guardian. Winner will be notified by mail (and those with known e-mail addresses may be notified by e-mail as well) within 30 days of the drawing and may be required to execute a Statement of Eligibility and Release within 30 days of prize notification attempt or prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the USA. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited. Any prize/prize notification returned as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
Consumer Information: Name, city and state of residence of prize winner will appear in a printed list which will be available on or about 9/30/03. Reader's Digest may share customer information about you with reputable companies in order for them to offer you products and services of interest to you. If you would rather we not share information, wish to receive a list of prize winners, have any questions about the Sweepstakes, or you do not want to receive future sweepstakes or skill contests mailings from Reader's Digest, specify your request and write to: The Reader's Digest Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 7810, Red Oak, IA 51591-0810. To receive the winners list, specify Prize Group XIII, The $100,000 Windfall Winnings Prize (#993) and include your return name and address.
