Are you a holiday fiend who looks for any excuse to celebrate? If Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa or New Year’s Eve just isn’t enough festivity for you, check out a few unusual December holidays you never knew existed:
• Log out of your email and pick up a pen on December 7 (today!) for Letter Writing Day. Just don’t get the paper sticky if you’re simultaneously celebrating National Cotton Candy Day.
• Toast those who herd cats or take a break from the crush of daily life on Cat Herders Day, December 15.
• If you’re a chocoholic, go ahead and give in to temptation on December 16, because it’s National Chocolate Covered Anything Day.
• For more food-centric holidays, browse this list at The Nibble. If you’re looking for excuses to celebrate year-round, check out daysoftheyear.com or holidayinsights.com.
