If you think running a marathon is impressive, try running one every day. Well, that’s exactly what Army veteran Mike Ehredt is doing.
Starting on August 23rd, Mike has run a marathon every single day (yes, you read that right) on a cross-country journey in his Project America Run to honor U.S. service members who have died in Afghanistan. To mark every mile, Mike plants a small American flag in the ground with he name, age, rank and hometown a fallen soldier. He is set to finish his run on Veteran’s Day in Galveston, Texas.
This invisible trail he’s scorching behind is his own small way to pay tribute to those who have served our country—he’s not attached with any sort of political group—and reminds us that we all can find our own way to show gratitude.
