The Sweet Taste of Electoral Votes

The Electoral College remains a mysterious process for many Americans, and electoral math can confuse the best of us. Just in time for Election Day, the New York Times magazine has crafted a handy guide to the numbers that matter next Tuesday—and it’s made entirely out of candy.
The guide, “State of the Art,” offers a fun assortment of numbers spelled out in M&Ms. Some images show stats that voters ought to know, like the number of electoral votes up for grabs in the swing states. Others are just for fun, like the varieties of Heinz or the speed limit in Iowa.
So before the big day, grab some leftover Halloween candy and take a look: It’s a tasty bit of electoral knowledge that goes down easy.
