Video: How 7,000 Post-Its Came to Life
by Drew Anne Scarantino
I’ll admit it: I have a minor obsession with sticky notes. At home and in the office, I have stacks upon stacks of them, in every color imaginable. But aspiring filmmaker Zach King may have me beat.
Known as FinalCutKing, the YouTube sensation recently used 7,000 Post-Its to bring to life video-game hero Super Mario in a stop motion animation. As he traverses the office walls like a pro, Mario goes face-to-face with fellow icons Pac-Man and Tetris, jumping over clocks and collecting coins along the way.
King said the minute-and-a-half film “took ninja-like patience” to pull off. I say he deserves a kiss from Princess Peach for his efforts.
