VIDEO: What If ‘Game of Thrones’ Were Sponsored By Super-PACs?
by Lauren Gelman
Fans of the medieval fantasy hit will crack up at this series of mock political attack ads whipped up by Mother Jones (warning: there are season two spoilers). In the ads, Daenerys Targaryen is criticized for hanging out with Dothraki terrorists and asking the city of Qarth for a government bailout, Rob Stark is called out for hiring an illegal alien as his younger brother’s nanny, and Joffrey Baratheon’s birthright is questioned. They’re creative, snarky … and make me glad that my favorite HBO show isn’t interrupted by real-life political commercials.
